HAIR NOURISHING PRODUCTS:
The hair nourishing products are used for nourishing our hair by retaining the moisture of the hair and giving them smoothness and glow. The different types of products used for nourishing are hair oil and hair conditioners.
Hair oil are used to nourish our scalp and also to strengthen and stimulate the roots of hair. They are of different types like
almond hair oil,
amla hair oil,
anti-dandruff hair oil,
aroma hair oil,
ayurvedic hair oil,
coconut oil,
herbal hair oil,
mustard oil and
olive oil. Usually natural ingredients are used to extract hair oil like coconut, mustard, olive, almond, amla etc.
Hair conditioners are used to retain the moisture of hair and give them a beautiful look. The ingredients used in making hair conditioners are moisturizers, hydrolyzed proteins, polymers, silicones, keratin, cationic surfactants, fatty alcohol, panthenol, dinethicone and hard water.
HAIR CLEANING PRODUCTS:
These are the items used to clean our hair. Various types of shampoos are used for this purpose. Generally the shampoos available in the market are differentiated on the basis of their ingredients and also on the basis of the type of hair on which they can be used. Some of the examples of shampoos on the basis of ingredients are
amla shampoo, almond shampoo,
herbal shampoo,
shikakai shampoo etc. The examples of shampoos on the basis of hair type are
dry hair shampoo, normal hair shampoo, oily hair shampoo,
anti dandruff shampoo,
cleansing shampoo,
conditioning shampoo,
moisturizing shampoo, etc. Shampoo is used for the removal of oil, dirt, skin particles, dandruff, environmental pollutants and other particles that gather on the scalp or hair. The ingredients used in making shampoo are amino acids, proteins, milk of goats, straight chain alkyl benzene, sulfonates, ammonium lauryl sulfate, calcium, magnesium, tetrasodium EDTA, cellulose, glycerine etc.
Hair styling products are used to arrange the hair as per the latest fashion trend, for coloring the hair and to look different during various occasions. The various items used for styling the hair are hair color, hair cream, hair dye, hair gel, hair glitter, hair lacing, hair spray, hair wax, henna color etc. The synthetic ingredients used in making these products are 4 amino-2 hydroxyl toulene, m-aminophenol, titanium di oxide, iron oxide, plasticizers, glistening agents, colors etc. Some of the herbal ingredients used are henna, saffron, turmeric, myrrh etc.

The global hair care products industry generated a revenue of more than US $4 billion in the year 2006 and is expected to grow at the rate of 5.2% annually.
